Swaringen Award Criteria

Award Objective

Recognizing outstanding individual achievements in selfless development of others in the application of performance technology skills.

Qualifications

Nominee must be an Active Duty Military, Reserve, or Civilian employee of the Coast Guard.

The nominating individual must submit documentation of accomplishments and at least two testimonies related to the award.

Nominee must have made a significant impact on the professional growth in the area of Human Performance Technology of more than one individual during the year preceding the award.

Evaluation Criteria

Nominee will be evaluated on the following demonstrated qualities.

  • Exhibit selfless devotion to helping and encouraging others to grow professionally
  • Teach and coach others in the application of performance technology tools
  • Promote and use innovative Human Performance Technology and training interventions
  • Encourage others to produce outstanding instructional products or performance interventions
